Johnny Flynn to Play Limerick This September
Really enjoying Johnny Flynn's new album "Been Listening", Headed over to his myspace and saw he is playing the Jean Monet Theatre in The University of Limerick, Strange coincidence. Such a great place to see an act as the small lecture hall lets you practically sit alongside the artists, adding a superb intimate setting. Saw Lisa Hannigan play there back in September 2008 (Review Here)I first heard of this guy doing a rendition of the Beatles Rocky Raccoon on the Beatles white album recovered done by Uncut magazine back in September 2008, Meant to check him out long before now but I guess better late than never. The new release by johnny Fynn is brilliant from the first track to the last, Outstanding tracks such as the water keep you coming back for more and more.
Flynn's album is a must listen , so head over on to his myspace page here http://www.myspace.com/johnnyflynn.He plays UL on the 22nd of September, I Look forward to it!Johnny Flynn - Been Listening by cooperativemusicuk

Hi, I'm from Belgium, coming to Limerick in September to study for a semester. Would like to buy tickets, but I can't find a site where I can buy them. No site is offering tickets? Or aren't they up yet? Thanks Elisabeth
Hey Elisabeth, Thanks for stopping by, If he is playing in UL the tickets will be sold through the Students Union I would say and some sold by the promoters possibly eightball.ie . As soon as they surface for sale ill let you know here on the blog, are you going to study in the UL?
Hi, yes I'll study at the University and probably stay in Brookfield Hall. I study Applied Linguistics ( English German). So I thought that the concert would be a nice way to meet new people. And I also love Johnny Flynn, so the perfect combination. :)I would really appreciate it if you would let me know when tickets are available. Thank you! Elisabeth
You will be in the right spot for getting tickets so, I am a newcomer to Flynns music, loving what i hear so far. Hope you have a really great trip to Limerick and if you need any help before you travel or anything while your here just let me know, Cheers
I saw him performing in Brussels ( with Mumford & Sons) Liked it very much,I only saw the last song though :p ( was held up outside because I was talking to the banjo player of Mumford & sons ;) ) Thanks for the help, you're very kind. Maybe I'll see you at the gig? Elisabeth
Used to be in college in limerick Institute of Technology 3 years ago. UL is a great campus, one of the best in the country, full of life and great facilities , you will get on great there
Hi!! Apparently you can't buy tickets online ( I've sent an e-mail to someone of the Student Union). You can only buy tickets at the reception of the Student Union until they're sold out. Of course that is a problem for me, but you Irish people are so kind and the Student Union people said that they will make an exception for me and hold tickets back for me. And I can pay them when I get there :D In Belgium they would never do such a thing :D
