Nirvana - Irish Tour History

The great blog Swear I'm not Paul has sparked me to check out the Irish tour history of Nirvana. The blog just put up a bootleg of their Cork show from 1991 which was sparked from a post here http://twitter.com/RuairiLBantum which was sparked from here http://twitter.com/JimCarrollOTR . How fun! Nirvana would have been one of the first bands that was on constantly when I was growing up thanks to an older brothers infatuation with the group. The band only made 4 appearances in Ireland including 3 cancelled shows, one in 91 in McGonagles, Dublin, where the band finished their tour early due to exhaustion. They cancelled two in 94 one for August in the Simmonscourt Pavilion, Royal Dublin Society which was rescheduled for October but Kurt's untimely death cancelled this particular show. Nirvana! Rolling stones? Oasis? so much irish band was formed. they're all cool!
