Discovered a band called Band of Annuals and their sound is strangely like Whiskeytown of old. With the news of Ryan Adams taking time off from music and that yearning for a whiskeytownesque album this just sorts you right out!
Band of annuals 2007 album "Let Me Live" just has this serious Caitlin Cary/Ryan Adams feel to it. Jay Henderson/Jeremi Hanson vocal reincarnation of whiskeytown is just magic. This Utah band are one to check out (www.myspace.com/bandofannuals ).
