Milk Market Gig No.2

After a great success last month with the Coronas headlining a show now billed as the "Big Top", Dublin's Imelda May will put her stall out down the Market.
Imelda plays on June 5th , The tent hosts some great food stalls and bars and is a fantastic addition to the music scene in Limerick. In and around 1,000 odd enjoyed the last gig and hopefully more announcements will be made for the venue soon. You can get tickets here. Hopefully the venue will start to attract bigger acts as time goes on.

Fred in Limerick This Friday

The excellent Fred are to hit the town this Friday, They come bearing gifts of a brand spanking new album by the name of "Leaving My Empire". The Cork band plus one of our own play the excellent Belltable and its been awhile since I have set foot in the place. Its always a great spot for a gig and with the venue sorted you need a great band and Fred will not disappoint. I have witnessed Fred thrice now, once at half time on the hallowed turf of Thomond park! The lads play a blend of dance your socks off pop rock that always seems to put me in a great mood!
The new album is a great addition to their bag of tricks and will be excellent to catch live. Really looking forward to seeing these guy again, Buy tickets here and don't miss it!

Ryan Adams 2011 Euro Tour Teaser + Bootleg

Ryan Adams is on the road again, After calling it a day with his band the Cardinals in late 2009 and several releases since including a crazy metal album and release of an unheard Cardinals albums, Ryan is back on gigging duties! I was shocked at the news and delighted that my favourite artist was finally back and to hear it was a simple acoustic tour was all the sweeter.
A few dates were put up at first but no Irish show, so I booked Glasgow for the 25th of June. Soon after booking, Cork and Dublin were announced but thankfully I didn't hold out as I will be away for his Irish shows. I will actually be in Portugal when he is playing two night, Its very possible! The full list of European dates are here:

06/08/11 Dublin Olympia Theatre Ireland
06/10/11 Stockholm Cirkus Sweden
06/11/11 Oslo Folketeatret Norway

06/25/11 Glasgow Academy United Kingdom
06/26/11 Oxford Oxford New Theatre United Kingdom

Anyways less chit chat and more teasing, Much speculation has a risen as to what Ryan show we will get, In terms of temperament and set.
Ryan surprised alot of people when he opened up for Emmylou Harris in L.A. on the 21st of April. He played a mix of old and new songs. A small bootleg can be downloaded here of 7 songs, 4 new and 3 old
http://www.sendspace.com/file/fcvjx3.
Check out these lovely videos below, Cant wait to get to Scotland. Here are my reviews of Ryans last two Irish shows :
